We first met him last Feb when we had a water leak after the heavy rains. Water was dripping out of a light fixture into our bathroom on a Sunday morning and we knew we needed someone out ASAP. We went online and called a handful of people and Darren was the only one who called back right away. He was at our house within a few hours and assessed the issue, set up the containment and started the drying out process that day. He then tested the rest of our house for moisture to see if there were other leaks. It turned out the water was also leaking into our bedroom, so the next day he did the containment and drying out process again.

Darren was also great in helping determine the source of the leak and helping me understand the issues and what next steps were to fix it. It was a long road ahead for us after that, and although Darren鈥檚 job technically ended after the drying out process, he really helped me through that time. He gave me advice on dealing with insurance, shared insight into what he鈥檚 seen with other homes, put me in contact with his son (who is also excellent) to help with fixing the drywall and deck above where the leak was coming from, and checked in from time to time.

Another example was just recently, when our washing machine leaked. We immediately called Darren and he came over to assess the situation a few hours later. Luckily it turned out it wasn鈥檛 a big deal. He gave us some recommendations on how to handle and didn鈥檛 charge us for the visit.

I hope to never have another water related issue again, however if I do, I will absolutely call Darren at FMH.
